This note on accessibility applies to Universität Hamburg’s Campus Tour web application (ct.uhh.de).
Universität Hamburg strives to ensure digital accessibility for people with disabilities. Our goal is to provide a fully accessible web application in keeping with the provisions of the Hamburg regulation on establishing accessible information technology for people with disabilities (Hamburgische Barrierefreie Informationstechnik-Verordnung, HmbBITVO) dated 10 September 2019.
The accessibility requirements come from Section 1 HmbBITVO in conjunction with Section 3 subsections 1–4 and Section 4 of the federal accessible information technology regulation (Barrierefreie Informationstechnik-Verordnung, BITV), adopted on the basis of Section 11 of the Hamburg act on equal treatment for disabled persons (Hamburgisches Behindertengleichstellungsgesetz, HmbBGG).
The result of the evaluation revealed very good accessibility of the Campus Tour web application, with 28 criteria graded as “satisfied.” Only the criteria “Document titles make sense” (2.4.2.a) was graded at “somewhat satisfied.” The document titles were amended on 27 October 2020 in accordance with the BITV test results and now meet all requirements.
Since the aforementioned amendment of 22 October 2020, all content is accessible.
